Red Sauce Pasta is a delicious recipe of pasta and mixed veggies in a homemade red tomato sauce. This can be made without veggies . Its all about your taste. 

Tips For Making Red Sauce Pasta

  • Add tomatoes which is red and less sour.
  • Use of any oil in place of olive oil.
  • You can choose any type of pasta to make red sauce pasta.
  • It is not compulsory to add cheese on it.
  • If you want to skip veggies you can skip it. ( I skip Veggies here)
  • It is not specifically an Indian style pasta recipe, so feel free to use a combination of herbs and vegetables that you like.

Ingredients Needed For Making Red Sauce Pasta

  • 225 grams pasta penne
  • 450 gram tomato
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 2 teaspoon basil 
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • Salt 
  • 11/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 pinches powdered black pepper
  • 3 cup water
  • 2 red chilli

Method Of Making Red Sauce Pasta Recipe

  • First we have to prepare red sauce and boil the pasta.
Heat oil in a pan over medium flame and add minced garlic along with chopped red chilli and red chilli flakes in it. Stir and saute for 2 minutes. Take another pan, pour the water and boil it. Then add pasta to the boiling water along with salt and oil. Cook the pasta for a few minutes. When it is cooked, drain the extra water and transfer the pasta in another bowl.
  • Cook Tomatoes along with herbs for 8-10 minutes
Now, heat the olive oil and add the peeled tomatoes, basil and parsley in the pan. Mix all the ingredients well and let it simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. When the sauce starts gaining consistency, put off the burner and add salt and black pepper powder to the sauce. Keep the sauce warm, add. Add the pasta over the warm sauce and toss carefully so that each piece is coated with the sauce.
  • Pasta is ready to relish
Cook for awhile and then serve the Red sauce Pasta immediately. If you are someone who likes the cheesy pasta, then you can garnish the pasta with cheese. To make it more delicious, you can roast a few dry basil leaves and sprinkle some chilli flakes and oregano.
